Just wanted to let you all know that I was just hired to be apart of the the freelance team! I am really excited, b/c I know it will just be a matter of time before I am permanent! I go in tomorrow at noon to fill out my paperwork!

How did you go about getting this type of position? Do you apply differntly than you would for the store or counter? Thx

i had initially applied for a perm position and didn't get. so the manager told me they had some freelance positions coming up. the application and interview process was the same as it was for the permanent position. They ask questions like how do you handle stress?, what would you add to Mac?, how would you meet your sales goals?, how are your customer service skills?, what type of retail experience do you have? So when they got ready to do the group demo they called me. i went in and there were three other girls we each had a model and they told us to do a simple look and to take as much time as we needed. they told us about the sanitation and then we started on the makeup. it was a relaxed, but i was still nervous. i did the demo on Friday and got the call yesterday on Wednesday! One of the managers even told me today that she has a 10-15 hour perm. position coming up that she wants to hire me for. So I may be permanent sooner than I think. *crosses fingers* HTH!
