I am sooo upset!

On the 19th I had placed an online order that was over $70 of Culturebloom items. Yesterday I was at my counter getting a lipstick with my B2M's and I asked them if they had any Culturebloom DVD's. As the new girl was about to hand me one an MA that has worked there ever since I started my addiction came up and said that I can't get one unless I spend $50 at the event this weekend. So I made an appointment for saturday and left. When I got home I remembered that I had spent over 50 online the week before so I decided that in the morning I would call MAC's CS and ask if I could get a DVD sent out to me. I just got off the phone and after 20 minutes on hold they told me that they can't do anything about it becouse sometimes counters do things that online doesn't and sometimes online does things that counters dont. I asked if they could make an exception since I'm a very loyal customer and I spent over the needed amount for the DVD and I wasn't able to make it to my counter to pick up my culturebloom stuff and the lady said too bad. Grrrr, "Too bad"?? I have freakin spent most of my life savings on their company and she tells me "Too bad"? Ok, end rant. Does anyone know how else I can get my hands on this DVD, I would just realy like to add it to my collection of MAC.

its really not the most amazing dvd anyway, its only like 5 minutes long and it really doesn't explain the looks well..

Honestly the DVD is not that exciting. I don't think it would be fair to call and complain about the MA because she was just following policy. We were told the same thing about our DVDs. They are for people that come to the event and make a purchase.

I know that a lot of you have received poor customer service, and I don't think you should have. The CS person didn't exactly choose the best phrase to handle your situation.

Sometimes we just don't feel like getting reprimanded by our managers, so if we cant accomidate certain requests, please don't take it personal.

I'm so sorry to hear that, perhaps you can get the DVD from someone else? Would it be illegal to get a burned copy?

In response to ms.marymac, perhaps we should just remember that not all MAs are bad or unhelpful - some do actually try to help and it's not necessarily their fault that they have to tow the company line.

If the counter you guys visit is not super busy, and you are not able to go to the event, try to wait until it's over to see if there are any left. It could be that they might have a few no-shows or walk ups that didn't purchase.

Edited to add that there will prolly be copies available online eventually, just about everything else seems to make it's way here, haha.

It was at the Nordstrom counter in the downtown mall in Salem Oregon. I know the MA was just folowing the rules, and I'm not blaming her, I guess I just wish that MAC's CS would have responded better. I mean I would have purchased my items at the counter (that's what I usualy do) but I wasn't able to this time becouse of a family illness. I found out about the DVD on here and MUA and you could probably get one at your culturebloom event. HTH!

At my counter we had the same deal. For a $50 minimum purchase, custies would get the free dvd. Did you ask mac online if they could send you one? that would make more sense to me. And that's pretty weird how they said "too bad". it doesn't sound like the customer service i have encountered with the company ( when i was a customer).

the DVD is nothing cool or anything. the best thing about it is the wrapping anyways..... my MAs were soo nice and gave me like a bagful of them. I must have like 6-7 at home just hanging out... if my bf hasnt thrown them out yet (he has issues with that kinda thing)... so I dont know why ur MAs were such assholes about the whole thing. like they had to pay for it or something... ugh!

that's a shame--- listen to this, though... try spending $100 w/ the promise of the cd and then have the MA go to get it and them be "out" only to find out three days later, they weren't out b/c four of your local mac addict friends went and got theirs when they just purchased a lipglass.

pfft.
