Well ladies, I found out tonight that I got a freelance positon with MAC! :woohoo:
I am soooo thrilled, I've always wanted to work for them!
I didn't mention any of my interviews on here because I was scared I wouldn't land anything.
I handed in my application and resume at the end of November, had my first interview a week and a half after that, my second a week after that and my demo a week and a half after that. The whole thing was almost 6 weeks. I was really, really unhappy with my demo interview and was sure I had blown it, I was just so nervous and I know I could have done much, much better.
I don't fill out my paper work until the end of this month and they said I probably wont start working until Feb.
I'm currently in school so free-lancing is a really nice way for me to start. I hope to move into a permanent part-time position as soon as possible and I really look forward to having a long career with this company.
I'm pursuing very different career choices but makeup is one of my main loves and passions and I want to keep it in my life for years to come, even if it's only part-time!
Wish me luck with all of this! I'm going to start making my friends be my guinea pigs a lot more between now and when I start work. It's been a while since I was really doing anyone's makeup besides my own.
Ah, I just want to scream, I'm SO happy!
