alot of things went down today.

on the surface they all seem pretty ordinary.

i just feel different now though, like i grew up or something.

does that happen, or am i just batshit?

...i suppose that would depend on what happened? you probably left this post pretty vague on purpose, so i'm not prying and hopefully no one else will.

But, sometimes I feel that way. for example, turning in my graduation paperwork last week...that's pretty ordinary, just getting things signed and submitted. but it means a lot more to me than just having things signed and submitted, it gave me a feeling of pride at being very close to graduating college. probably the most important piece of paperwork i'll ever turn in.

that happens to me all the time. i get these overwhelming feelings of, "wow!! i'm an ADULT!!!!" it freaks me out and i feel i shouldn't be this old, and i'll be 25 in a month! ugh! sometimes its fun though 'cause that feeling also comes with a strong feeling of independence. That's a great feeling.

i just feel like i got along really well with everyone today. the one person that really upset me, i didn't even feel the need to retaliate...i didn't feel the need to say "hey, that's fucked up what you did just now." it doesn't seem like a big deal, but it must have been because i just feel alot more grown now. i'm glad i'm not just trippin' though.

I seriously swear that there comes a point when you just don't care anymore. I mean that in a good way too. Where you don't care as much what people think or peoples comments that once would have sent me into an emotional frenzy just roll of your back. It is strange. I guess that is growing up. I agree with OfficerJenny. It is a really good and freeing feeling.

I totally understand what you mean. It happens suddenly a lot of the time. Without you even realizing it you change the way you think about something, and you realize then that you really are an adult.

This happens to me all the time, I'm 22 and last year I moved out of my parents house and I have a mortgage and bills etc.. And I'm always thinking WOW i'm a grown up now. Like when i'm doing my own grocery shopping or washing or something....I like the feeling though.

I have those moments. Whether Im grocery shopping by myself, or getting something *major* done (major to me, no one else) i feel very grown and accomplished.

It happens a lot, in a lot of different situations. Its a great feeling though!
