Man, my lower back is killing me. I don't know if it's my kidneys or what. I have an appointment for 2pm tommorow to see my doc. I can't stand for longer than 2 minutes, it feels like my back is going to break.
The nurse said I might have a kidney or bladder infection but don't you have pain when urinating with that? I don't have any problems with it.
I also have abdominal pain, kinda like when you are cramping on your period and my belly right under my breasts (but that is not constant)
I hope it's nothing bad

hmm. kinda sounds like a kidney infection i had long ago. And it sometimes can fool you because it doesn't have to hurt you pee. Bladder and urinary tract infections almost hurt immediately when you pee. I hope everything is okay!

There are lots of things that can cause lower back pain. If it is indeed kidney related there is a possibility that you have a kidney stone which can be excruciatingly painful but won't cause pain specifically on urination. The treatment is straightforward.

Please be very careful not to take too much acetaminophen if that is your painkiller of choice. It's very easy to overdose on it. Four tablets an hour for four hours consecutively can constitute a fatal dose.

Thank you all, you are so sweet.
caffn8me - I take ibuprofin, that is what my doc told me to take. I never take anything else.
I got some of those heating stickers you can put on your back. It feels somewhat better with it on. I will let you all know how it went.

Just an update...I have some pulled muscles and he thinks there might be a problem with my gallbladder. I will never understand why doctors blame back aches on pulled muscles without any testing. Oh well, I got some 800mg Ibuprofin and some muscle relaxers. He said if my belly ache doesn't go away by Monday then they will have to do an ultrasound. So much for going out on Saturday night
