i just asked the lady at the mac counter if she had anything in her book on the catherine d. icon collection, and she had no clue about it nor did she know about some of the other collections i see here.
made me feel so smart that i knew more than her, a MAC rep.

she also thinks this will only be in mac pro stores and not macy's, does anyone know more about this or when you will be listing more about the colors in the catherine d. colection on this website?

The Catherine Denueve collection will be avalable in ALL locations in January.

MAC has just recently "officially" released the Catherine Deneuve Icon collection info to employees. Our last training season ended in October and the new one starts up in January....the Icon collection launch fell in between those months and most staff have not been able to get official training on the products until now. Due to the holidays and all.

MAC tries very hard to keep all product information under wraps until it is time to train staff on it. This is because oftentimes there are last minute changes to product colors/formulations/names, etc. and they only want staff giving out the most current, correct info on the product to customers.

With the Icon collections, this is especially important because there are copyrights and contracts involved with the Icon herself. For example...no posters were created for Liza Minelli and Diana Ross collections, due to the fact that their images were not allowed, by contract, to be reproduced on certain visual items (posters, etc)...the risk of those things being sold on auction websites for a profit (profits in which the celebrity will get no part of) and such is too high. Basically, they are trying to keep people from making $$$ by selling their face, cause the celeb. gets no part of that $$$.
