i quite happily use a 187 to apply powder foundation - but then, i only want a light coverage. i have also used a powder brush and been happy with the results. if you're after a heavier coverage then no, the powder brush probably won't cut it.

CantAffordMAC - I also use and love studio finish concealer.

I definetly need a lot of coverage. Everyone tells me that you can't see any marks on my face but thats bs, because I have many marks. Sometimes I think concealer won't even do the trick--its not magic. I have acne scars, and acne that I messed with and my undereye circles never go away no matter what. Like I said theres only so much the concealer can do. I'm also excited to see if the rice powder primer will help any.

ps-I tried the larger concealer brush and I like it a lot better than the tiny one.

something to remember is that everyone is their own worst critic. when you look at yourself in the mirror you'll always be able to find things that seem to scream out at you. other people don't notice so much, because they're not focussed on seeing those things.

i was recommended by an ma to use a concealer brush to apply concealer, but with concealer (and concealer only) i found it better to use my fingers. like how the previous people commented on using a tapping motion.....
i tried using the small concealer brush, and when i was applying it under my eyes, i was getting this obvious line near my waterline of the concealer.

This is true! If you want light coverage, then the 187 or a powder brush would work just fine. I actually use the 187 for liquid foundation since I hate feeling like I have liquid caked on my face. But for powder products, I feel I need more coverage than I do with liquid.

CantAffordMAC - I would suggest investing in a decent kabuki or buffer brush for your powder foundation. I think you will probably have the best results with this kind of brush if you don't want to use the sponges anymore. Try spritzing your brush with Fix+ or plain old water after picking up foundation & before buffing into the skin. I used to use Studio Fix compact before I became obsessed with Everyday Minerals mineral makeup. I still use Studio Fix when I am running low on EM, but for the most part I stick to my EM. My skin has definitely cleared up a lot since I started using EM & provides great, lasting coverage when I use the method above. And I still use my Studio Fix concealer for my eye bags
