I Got Stoned and I Missed It

That's how I feel about some of my make-up application this morning. I have this problem with my crease colors - they always extend too far. I need to really work on that, I suppose. This morning, I just didn't freakin' have time to even TRY to fix it, sooo... my eyes look way too heavy. Shame, too, because I think this would've been a really cool look if not for those horrible wings on the outside of my eyes.

Oh, anyway. Dr. Hook kept me in somewhat of a good mood. I was listening to that this morning and had intended to call the look, "Sexy Eyes," but the title I ended up with seems more appropriate. LMAO

FACE: (all Everyday Minerals)
primer and powder - Silk Dust
concealers - Multi-Tasking, Spring
foundations - Medium Beige Warm Intensive, Medium Beige Warm Matte (under my eyes)
blush - Email Me

EYES: (all MAD Minerals e/s)
UDPP, Ben Nye LiquiSet
e/s - Oak Bronze - lid, lower lashline
e/s - Sultry Green - crease (bah), upper lashline (wet lined)
e/s - Xmas '05 - highlight
e/l - CG pencil: Black Brown - lower lashline (as base for Oak Bronze)
brows - Rimmel pencil: Hazel, Maybelline Great Lash mascara: Clear
mascara - L'Oreal Voluminous: Carbon Black

LIPS:
l/g - Revlon Super Lustrous: Raisin Glaze

You know, there are lots of pics here, but I just love these colors - even if I did screw up part of my eyes.

I love the colours. But you're right about the crease. The only advice on that is for tomorrow (or next time) only bring the crease to where your lashes stop (or like an 1/8'' past). Making it a conscious effort will probably make heaps of a difference. Plus eventually it'll just become natural to do it that way.

I remembered a little while ago how these awful wings came about today. I got my crease color down a little too far (a bit below the corner of my eye), so I was going to try and fix it with my highlighter color. Well, I grabbed the wrong brush!!! So, as soon as I swiped, I got more of the Sultry Green. *sigh* It was too late to fix it then, so I had to actually make the wings, kinda. Can't believe I forgot that's how it happened until I looked in the mirror awhile ago.

However, I *do* need to make it a conscious effort on the crease colors because they do tend to extend a bit too far below the corner of my eye.

Thanks for the comments!!

how do you use your ben nye liquiset? do you just use if your liner, or do you cover your whole lid are with it after you're done with all the e/s application? yet another "magical" product i've been dying to try...
