I found out last week that my favorite MAC MUA is no longer working for MAC. Yeah, I know where she is, but works for another top cosmetic line.

I know several MA's at different stores, but no one is as skilled or has as nice a personality as Joey. I was so sad when I got the news.

I found out when I tried to make an appointment for a makeover with her during the release of the ICON Collection.

Can any of you suggest a really good, no a really GREAT MAC MUA in the New York City area?

PS I forgot to mention that he/she can't be one of those stuck up bitchy salespeople, I don't patronize those.

I feel for you, mine is gone too and I hate the girls and boys that are there, they are rude and condesending

i know what you mean, I lost my MA at MAC Flatiron like 2 months ago and it was soo soo sad. He went back to California. Dammit, Cali got all the good people. HEHE. I have no clue who's good. Personality-wise there's this really nice girl at MAC Soho, I don't remember her name (Salma or Selma I think) but I don't know about her skills. So you might want to check her out.

Honestly, which one does a better makeover?

I'm going tomorrow, I want the Icon collection now!

I agree with Jude, Darien at Pro is awesome, she's so sweet.

I also LOOOOOVEEEEEEEE Margaux at SoHo, but she doesn't work that many hours anymore...she's AWESOME. we spent two hours going through the soho drawers looking for rare stuff once, hehe

Sorry I can't help you with your MUA problem, but I understand how you feel.

Just my small rant: I feel disappointed that the regular MUA I go to most of the time (he can recognise me and has served me numerous times) ignored me the last time I went to his counter. He definately saw me and was unoccupied. Don't know what his problem was. And I thought I finally found a regular MUA. Think I will reduce my visits to that counter. Maybe he thinks there is no point in serving me since I only buy 1 or 2 things from each collection.

Sigh. Looks like nice MUAs are hard to find.

Guess I will go back to visiting different counters, test the stuff out, pay and walk off without any service or what not.

Hi Princess, You are probably right. One slaesperson told me that they only make $ if you buy at least 2 items. So many of them can be so arrogant, I refuse to do business with a person like that.

Last week I saw one of the people I was referred to and I have ot admit that I was not satisfied with the service, it wasn't awful but that person didn't seem to have the best CS skills.
