Recently at work I've been doing all the window displays at my work. I've become such a window display geek recently that I get all excited looking at other shops window displays haha. I saw a job advertised as a visual merchandiser for Selfridges recently, I'd love to apply but I don't think I'm that good yet! Their displays are like a whole store in themselves! I've also seen visual merchandiser jobs based in Dubai too... maybe in the future lol.

Obviously mine at work at small scale, but I thought I'd share my Valentines display with you. It doesn't look that impressive in the pictures though

I had scented rose petals and everything! I'll update with new ones I do

And the other window for the new Paul Mitchell Platinum Blonde shampoo... very tiny and boring...

you know what.. window dressing in my opinion is so important. I love when stores take the time to create trendy, meaningful displays of the merchandise they carry--it gives customers ideas and draws them into the store.
The Bay flagship store in Toronto has really cool window dressings and I enjoy walking by the store and taking a peak. and they don't just do 1 dressing per year, they change it up often.

You did a good job and i think you should apply for that job.. what is the worst that could happen? There are lots of companies that will give people a chance to grow in a role if they see the potential.
Also.. keep taking pics of your work.. you can create a portfolio for yourself to show future employers.. good work!

It's all pretty looking =]

I don't think it would hurt to apply, plus you never know if you'll get the job or not if you don't! So go for it!
