i need help!

so, i wash my face every night. i don't use makeup remover just soap (dove) and water. HOWEVER, when i look like in the root of my eyelashes i still have eyeshadow/eyeliner/mascara on there. almost like it's stuck! i don't used makeup removers (other than the MAC wipes) because i break out but does anyone know about getting the makeup out of that root area???

yes, that particular area needs eye make up remover. Wipes are not enough sometimes.

Agreed. Try MACs gently off eye & lip remover on a q-tip so that you can really get into the lashes/lashline and dont have to worry so much about getting it onto your face and then rinse with a little bit of water. It's seriously amazing.

I usually take my makeup off with a wipe and then wash with my normal cleanser.
Often I'll still have eyeliner in my lashline that won't come off. If I'm not too lazy, I'll dip a q-tip in makeup remover and clean it up.

If you're worried about breaking out, remove your eye makeup before you use your cleanser, that way all traces of remover will be washed away.
Or you could use an oil-free remover after you wash your face.

Try Jojoba Oil or Almond Oil on a Q-Tip, it'll remove the remainder product from the base of your lashes. Jojoba Oil usually doesn't irritate skin because it's rather similar to our own oil.

Baby wipes might help you out but an oil based eye make up remover is your best bet. You can just take a q-tip instead of getting it all over your face.

I have VERY sensitive eyes so I use baby oil to take off my makeup.. its the cheapest and most affective thing ever!! seriously put some on a qtip and go over your eyeliner area and lashes and it comes off soooo easily

and for your long wear products, you know the really stubborn ones, put olive oil on a qtip and everything comes off super easy.... did I mention how cheap and affective this is LOL
