I Need Some Help

Well this weekend I was out of My fairly light Bare Esentuals so I decided to try Mac.
We went with the Sudio Fix and the girl came up with NW25 studio Fix and NW20 for the concealer. Well when I got home and tryied it myself it looked like I had a tan way to drk. So I a guessing she chose the wrong shade.
However I remember reading here about something with the NE VS the C vs the NC
Please help

Here's 2 links for foundation matching & This one

It's kind of confusing when your just learning.

I'm a NW20 & a few random things that made it click for me was,

NW : Pink undertones (veins on underside of forearm appear blueish)
NC : Golden undertones (veins on underside or forearm appear greenish)

NC: look good in brown shirts
NW: look good in pale pink shirts

NW: strawberrys n cream
NC : peaches n cream (I read this analogy on spektra somewhere, this is the one that clicked for me)

I went to 3 different MAC MA's to get matched (just to be sure) as I thought I was an NW25 each time I was matched to NW20, the last artist I spoke to mentioned some thing about the foundation oxidizing and darkening a bit when applied and that also "clicked" and made sense to me.

hope my rambling helps.
