hi!

Well i have a lot of plummy purple eye shadows from MAC that i haven't used. I'm looking for es reccomendations on how to wear them either together or with different colours. I am aware that there is a website that shows all the colour combinations and i do have it saved, i looked at it but i would rather get other suggestions.

Here is my list:
Star violet
sushi flower
trax
cranberry
sketch
plum dressing
hepcat
nocturnelle

I really like them but i get lost on what to pair it with specially the colours that are similar to each other like (plum dressing, hepcat and nocturnelle)
I'm not a creative person at all!
Any help would be appreciated!

TIA

I think a gold-toned eyeshadow (Goldmine) would look fab with one of the cranberry e/s.

Or try a shimmery green as a lid color and then line and crease your eyes with a dark burgundy/cranberry color. That looks fab - I have the Nars Bellydance duo (a shimmery green and a dark cranberry colors) and usually play up my eyes with this combo.

I use sketch as a crease colour all the time with so many different colours it's ridiculous. Some of my favourites are with oranges and creams. I love purple and teal combos as well as purple and brown combos.

Using almost any of the colours on your lid and then adding a brown or gold in the crease will also look really awesome.

I love Sushi Flower, and Cranberry with golds. They look amazing with them.

I could link you to some FOTDs I've done with some of these colours.

I love Cranberry with Aquadisiac if you have that color, and Trax I would use to make a smokey look out of pinks.

Try sliding your pots of Silver Ring, pinks/corals (Expensive Pink, Jete'), golds (Amber Lights, Goldmine) along side those shadows.

I'm always sliding pans of shadows around on my bathroom counter like a "shell game" trying to find a combo. Of course, I've only got two dozen to contend with. =)

Hey lovely, as already suggested - Cranberry with coral-y pinks is awesome - expensive pink, paradisco or I've not tried this yet - but i reckon pink bronze...its not *too* dissimilar to expensive pink. Also, if you have any of the Moonbathe collection - it looks nice with the eyeshadows from that. If you didn't get any, Amber lights is almost identical to cosmic.

Star violet also looks good with golds IMO. Also, was in the MAC store the other day with my mom and she bought swish to go with star violet, as I gave her one of mine and she hadn't anything to go with it. I've not tried them together, as far as I can remember, but I know they looked nice in their pots next to each other

Well, with Sketch, specifically, you can use it with any color combo to darken your crease.

i once tried Macroviolet as base on lid + Trax over Macroviolet + Hepcat in crease = many compliments! =D

also, Expensive Pink e/s goes well with Trax and Star Violet.. i also suggest a Cranberry + Amber Lights + Goldmine combo

Sketch + Soft Brown is verrryyyy pretty too! i think there was a FOTD by Son Risa [sp?] where she used those two together..

Love this thread! Bought Cranberry yesterday and I have trax and star violet in a holiday set, but don't know how to use them.
There are some nice suggestions I will try.

Thanks!
