HELP!! I want to get my haircut and have an appointment tomorrow. I have dark brown hair (you can see it in my avatar pic) and it's gotten longer than what's in the pic. It's probably down to the top of my shoulders now and I wanted to let it grow out but I just can't take it anymore. For the past 6 years or so I haven't let my hair get much longer than it is now just b/c I get frustrated with it and hate having to style it so I keep it short. Generally I get it cut in a bob type style with side bangs and probably about 3 times now have tried a really short, sassy cut like Mandy Moore's when it was short but had issues styling it. No matter what I did, I couldn't ever get it to look cute like she had it in the pics and I know she had a stylist and hairdresser and all that, but felt like it was a simple enough style that I should've been able to do it.

Here's a pic of what I'm considering for tomorrow and I'm hoping someone out there will have some suggestions or tips for me on styling. I appreciate any comments!

So I got the cut but of course to me after it was styled it didn't quite look like the pic but only b/c my hairdresser likes to do "flip" styling. I tried today to style it by studying the pic and while I couldn't get it quite like I wanted, it was still cute enough that I was happy with it. I know it's not going to look EXACTLY like the pic but that's the look I really want. I went today on a suggestion from a friend and got the Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner in Tousle Me Softly along with the spray gel and some hairspray. I'm really trying to figure out what the best way would be to style the hair so any suggestions would be helpful!

I know exactly what you mean. I got my hair cut last week (a short sassy cut) & the first couple of days it was easy to blowdry into the style. Since then it seems to have a mind of its own & won't do what I want it to do.

I find the easiest way for me right now to get it looking not too bad is to use mousse & volumiser & blow dry it upside down. Still not what I want, but better than nothing!
