I wanna look like I'm from the 70s....although I wasn't born until 1980 :)

So, my sister is having a 70s/80s party next Saturday. I'm going to do the 70s but I don't want to do that typical disco look with the afro and bell bottom jeans. What else could I wear? And how should I do my makeup?

Mini dresses in bright neon colors was very popular in the '70s with go-go boots. The boots were usually patent leather and white was big. I was a young child in the '70s and that's what I remember seeing the grown-ups wearing when they went out. They also had big chunky jewelry in loud colors. Big plastic bangle bracelets and big bead necklaces. Powder blue eyeshadow was all the rage with lots of thick black eyeliner. Post pics when you get your outfit and makeup together. I'd love to see it.
