So when I had to go to the Pro Store to CP some Mixing Medium, he introduced me to a new MM item!
* Mixing Medium Gel: It's in a bigger bottle than the regular MM and has a nice texture!

After I chatted to him, I asked for some Glitter/pigment samples: Grape, Reflects Gold and Reflects Pearl
He started to search through the all the drawers and racks but couldn't find the Reflects Gold sample jar! He said: "Well they get stolen a lot!" and I was all like "Whaaaaat?! Really!" I can't imagine to steal something from MAC (I love it too much!

So onto the Grape pigment he told me to make my own sample, gave me a little container and I started filling the little thing up! Great CS!!!!

And everytime I walk in there they assume I'm a MA because my makeup looks so great and I know all the products!

Hmm maybe that was the reason I bought my long-term lemming: #219 brush!

So did you get a sample of the Mixing Medium Gel? What did he show exactly? How did he use it? On the Pro site it says it's not for use around the eyes.

No I didn't get a sample *duhI'msostupid*
Well when I was asking about the Mixing Medium Water-based the recommended me that so maybe he didn't know that it wasn't eyesafe or he forgot!

I have the gel mixing medium and it is really cool to use. Especially with glitter.
It goes on wet and dries down a bit, but will hold your glitter like nothing else.
In the past, I have had trouble getting glitter to spread well over the skin if using lotion or something to help it stick. Also, some things can make the glitter less sparkly...dulling it.
With the Gel MM it suspendes the glitter so that it goes on the skin very evenly and it doesn't inhibit the sparkle of the glitter
I have tried it with pigment, too and it makes the pigment go on so smooth and even.
It's good stuff
It is in the same bottle as face and body foundation. Large.

the ma at the la pro store tried to get me to buy that but i passed. it has a great deal of alcohol in it, which is why it dries so quickly... and i would only want to use it on my eye area so i passed. but she gave me a sample to try it anyway :p

Really nice and dark! Reminds me a bit of Beauty Marked! Violet looks more like the perfect violet that you can think of while Grape really looks like a purple Grape!

Hey, I'm new and just has a quick question as I'm visiting the Pro Store in Vancouver for the first time tomorrow. Do all Pro Store offer samples of pigments? How much do they cost? and is there a limit to how many you can have? I'm just really confused about how it all works
winks.gif

And what other types of samples do they offer? thanks to anyone who can help!

You can get samples for free!
And a limited is just based on the MA and how much she likes you!

They make a gel Mixing Medium for eyes. It's in a tube. The one in the bottle isn't for eyes. The Mixing Medium for Eyes is $11.
