if you could only have one eye brush, recs

i'm trying to take advantage of the 25% off at mac right now. and i really want to play around with eyeshadows. which eyeshadow brush would you pick if you could only get one?

I disagree..I like the 217 but I find that sometimes its too big for my eyelid..I would say the 239..perfect brush for packing on the color and applying color in the crease ...multipurpose..lol..

I think you should get 2 brushes, the 239 and 217. They both do very different things, and with both you'll get the best out of your eyeshadows.

The 239 applies the colour the best and the 217 blends out the colours the best.

I can't pick just one. lol!

I don't have the 217; I went to a MAC Studio Talk and used it there. I found that it was too fluffy/big for my eye lid, shadow would get everywhere, and kind of muddy up the colors.

It could have been that the brush was pretty old and abused, but regardless, I adore the 239. You can pack on color more precisely, and if you had to, for now, use the edge of the brush to blend.

definitely #217 no matter what... this brush is the shiz....

it can pack color onto the lid, define the outer v, do the creasework and even can be used to blend..... ^^

If i had to pick one brush....217 again!! I can do all my eyes with that one brush. I don't only use that brush but I can do it with just that one!

I would pick the 217, I have two of these! It is a perfect brush that does it all. I could do my whole eye with this brush.

Get the 239 -- I have 2 of these. You can use them with paint pots and with e/s so you'll get more use out of them as far as application is concerned.

Because my eyes are smaller, I LOVE the 239. It's great for really packing the color, blending and I thinks it works amazing with pigments. I use the 217 for blending which I guess it's another brush that you really need!!

I have 2 239s and I love them!

I can't speak for the 217, but I have one coming to me, so I'll see how I like it. I looked at it in the store yesterday, and it was way bigger than I expected

why not get the holiday eye brush kit? at 25% off it's not much more than a regular brush and you get 5 different ones to play around with.
(yes i realize im too late and the sale is over).
