hi everyone! here's a fotd with purples (i really like purples and greens)

, but I'm not sure if i like it too much. Also, i'd really appreciate it if you could answer these two questions for me:

1) a bonus picture of my senior portrait proof. I don't like it, should i get it retaken?

2) what are you honest opinions about my blending? I bought a cheap brush set from target the other day (by sonia kashuk), which includes a tapered blending brush, but i find it a little difficult to use.

You look GORGEOUS in your senior pic!! Don't get it retaken. Good blending, I like purples on you!! But a suggestion, maybe have your brows a little bit darker?

I love the Purple.... SK brushes are ok....I don't know about the brush sets... but the single ones rock... I have 3....

my avatar? It's one of the girls from the Chinese Dress Event from M.A.C. Jaim, one of the members here made a bunch of gorgeous avatars out of the pictures fron the event and i took one

I used a lot of products for the purple, but the camera couldn't capture them all. I used:
MAC crystal e/s
MAC zeal e/s
MAC parfait amour e/s
MAC black tied e/s
MAC violet pigment
anddd
MAC vanilla pigment (as highlight)
Covergirl rosy outlook e/s

I think your senior pic turned out great I would keep it and your blending skills are always fab! I tried out a lot of different brushes before I invested in MAC and I think the Sonia Kashuk ones were really nice but I have to say not as good as MAC. HTH's

thanks, yea i like the sonia kashuk ones because they're super affordable and fairly decent in quality! i own two brushes from MAC the 187 and the 206 i think (i can't tell if it's the 206 or the 208 or 209 since the numbers scratched off, but it's the angeled one that i use for brows+liner)

and a piece of advice on senior portraits, don't submt them to your yearbook until you are absolutely in LOVE with them! i settled for one that i was OKAY with, and now i look at it and it's positively horrible, i look nothing like myself and i realized that that's how people are going to remember me now
