I'm in pain :(

Last night I cut my thumb knuckle open with a bread knife. I only had to get two stitches (after being in the hospital for three hours!), but they had to open the cut up with foreceps and poke around inside to make sure all of my tendons were ok. So now its really swollen and sore, and I can't use that hand at all. I have a very high pain tolerance, but I think I nicked something because this just kills! I live by myself, so only having one hand is a huge pain in my ass. Luckily my RA (residence advisor) did my dishes last night, and I've got a friend coming over tonight to help out, but man, talk about frustrating! Typing this with one hand wasn't exactly the funnest thing I've ever done either.

Sorry to bitch girls, I'm just a little annoyed right now.

Yikes! That does sound painful, sorry that happened to you. It's good you have your friend and RA helping you out, I hope you heal quickly and they gave you some good pain killers for the first couple of days.

Hey guys! My thumb feels much better. I'm still having trouble using it to grab things, but at least I can now use my fingers without the thumb getting all mad and throbby.

Even reading that makes me feel I'm in pain.
Just take painkillers and try to keep something frozen on the thump a few times a day, that should make some of the swelling go down and when the swelling goes down also some of the pain goes away too! (I know what I'm talking about since I've had two knee surgeries). I hope you are feeling better soon!
