I am just curious as to what the difference is between a regular hair dryer and the new ion hairdryers that many manufacturers are coming out with? Are they better for your hair?

When used a regular dryer I had to always put shine products in my hair and had to get hair trimmed more due to dry ends. |

The ceramic helps keep an even heat so not hot spots. This dried my hair super fast and left it feeling so silky and smooth. Just thought you might like to know in case you are in the market to buy one. BTW I am not usually a Conair hairdryer fan. A gal who works at my son's school has the most amazing long hair and she told me that is what she's been using. So I bought one. |

As for the heat it's not super hot and you can tell that the heat is hitting your hair evenly. I like that it does not get so hot I feel like hair is going to melt. It cut down my drying time by 5 mins. Typically it would take my hair about 10-13 mins to dry even with an Ion dryer. It must be the ceramic feature that is really cutting the drying time in almost half. Without the Ion or ceramic feature my hair could take almost 15-20 mins to dry and that's with it being shorter now. I am really please with this dryer. The cool shot button works great too! Even my son noticed my hair was softer. Says a lot for kid who is pre-teen. |
