Irridescent Pressed Powders-Is my Star! abnormal?

Okay so I have a ton of the IPPs. My Dress to Kiss, Blushing Femme, Belightful, Free Form,.. none of them have any problems. But I recently got Star! from my not-so local CCO. It got that same kind of layer on top that you get like the residue on top of your shadows. It can't be unclean brushes, I am neurotic about this, and I used a brand new, never used before brush also. I hadn't even applied it to my face yet,.. and still that top layer,. when I went to do the obligatory surface scraping,.. this IPP seemed to be less I dont know how to describe it,. "flaky" maybe,.. not as dry and powdery as the others,.. Does anybody else notice this?? I just hate to make another hour and a half drive to return it, if they are all the same.

Yes, I have noticed that with Star! I do not have any other IPPs, so I assumed it was normal....

Yep! Mine's the same. I bought it last year from maccosmetics.com....

I recently purchased Star IPP and it was broken so I avoided having to scrape the top layer. I really like this powder as a highlight over format.

0o00 I thought I was the only one too!! lol.. It is a bit flaky, but I still like it! The tester at my CCO has a really nasty, extremely hard bumpy layer on it. I guess it was from all the.. testing? Mine is that bad though.
