Is it just me or are you just about over.....

Is it just me or are you just about over all of the light and mid-tone pink lustres being released? Cuz I am. They are basically all the same colour.

Prime example, the Aloof and Embraceable lipsticks released with Nocturnelle. They look different in the tube, but due to their sheer lustre formulation, they almost look like the same damn colour on your lips. It's great to have a colour option like that in the regular line for those who want a light wash of colour, but to put them in a LE colour story when their colour differences are absolutely minutiae is kind of a waste, IMO.

I dunno, just felt like a lipstick rant. GRRRRRR.... Sorry if I am being lipstickcentric in my needs

Yeah, I agree. It's getting to the point where most of the LE colors are repeats/different formulations of the same shades.

There's a few I actually wish they'd make, though...like Blankety in Lustre form and Hue in Amplified form (I'm not crazy about the Sheer finish of Hue; it wears off unevenly).

But yeah, I agree. I was gonna get Aloof and Embraceable, but when I saw them in person I decided they were too close to stuff I already have.

I want more colour too. And whats with the re-promotes? Why cant they re-promo all the bright vibrant colours, all the lovley le or dc shades that everyone would die to get their paws on.

I agree completely. I am on a lippie buying ban for the time being (primarily because I am far more obsessed with eyeshadows and would rather use my money there) because there haven't really been too many really unique shades. I love my sheer pink lipsticks, don't get me wrong, but at this point I need another mid-tone pink Lustre like I need a hole in the head!

I wish they would release more of the unique colors with every other LE release- like Stiletto - you never see THAT color again and it is unusual and gorgeous.

Also, I am getting over MAC in general- their pigment quality has gone down and I refuse to pay such a lot for inferior quality. I won't use their shadows - they are horrible for me- they vanish.

I love MSF but sometimes they are too glittery, and FL are still great so far, but beyond that I only buy my staples- brow pencil, lip liner, mascara, and that is about it (and a few pro things as well).

I am just very thankful that I built up my collection when I did before the quality started to drop.

I feel the same way. For me it seems like the lip colors are either too light or too bright. I have to mix colors to get something in the middle.

Colorqueen, I have the same problem with the shadows. They are fine when I use a primer, though. I've noticed that *gulp* Smashbox stays on pretty well without a primer...longer than most of the shadows I've tried, at least.
