That MAC and Mary Kay are made by the same people? My friend was telling me this cause she wants me to use Mary Kay.. so I thought I would ask some of you all.

You have your info incorrect about Jane.

Jane was originally launched by Sassby and their earlier eye shadows are incredible in their coloring. I am an avid collector of the old shadows and they really were something special. However Estee Lauder bought them and re-formulated them and basically came out with new shades that were really sheer and lots of pinks and light blues. The best new shadows are clubbing and brownie points, but the quality of the rest are so-so to down right awful. So after they pretty much ran the line into the ground, they sold it and now its being re-launched by a new company. That’s why so many stores stopped selling it last year. You can still find some of the old shadows at Big Lots.

Nope,.. Mary Kay is not owned by any other makeup company. MxAxC Attack,. I am sorry that you had such a horrifying experience. They are slowly but surely gettting better,.. it sounds like the independent salesperson that sold you that stuff sold you really old product. Unfortunately that happens. I happen to love the Endless Performance Mascara,. it makes my lashes look so long that it looks like I have falsies on. But I am super unimpressed by their foundation,...it used to be okay but the have changed the formula and it is hard to use now and really kinda thick. Their shadows are actually pretty good now,.. finely milled but no they don't have a good color selection. Still a little on the "old Lady-ish" side. They do come out every quarter with a line that is called "Velocity" and they will have high color product marketed for the younger age group,.. but they are really limited and hard to get,.. it sucks worse than MAC's LE stuff. But over all,.. Mary Kay is more of a skin care line. I have had a lot of success with their skin care and it really has reduced wrinkles and fine lines,.. So I use their skin care,.. and their mascara and MAC's everything else,....
