Is this Kitschmas from 2000 real?

Since everyone was so helpful last time I asked about a fake pigment, I thought I'd check this one as well. I bought it a while ago before I was aware of fake pigments, and now that I'd like to get rid of it, I thought I would make sure it's not fake first.

According to the batch code - C80 - it's from 2000. Does it look right? (I know it has a lot of scratches, most of them are my fault...)

Thank you!

I am certainly not an expert but I think it's fake because the label is frosty and the color looks way off.

Thanks, Hilly - yes, that's what I was thinking as well about the label, but I really have no idea how labels from 2000 would look. The color is off in the pictures - it's more purpleish than in the pictures.

From what I've experienced, this doesn't seem like a fake because the earlier fakes have really thick jar bases, wrong batch codes as well as wrong font type on the label on the bottom of the jars. It looks ok to me.

Thank you, Xqueeze_me! You're so good at this - MAC should hire you as official fake pigment spotter

The label looks authentic (just older), but the color seems off to me. In the first pic it looks like Lovely Lily, and the second pic looks like Gold Dusk to me. It could just be my monitor?????

MACATTAK, nah, I think it's just the lightning + the fact that I'm not a very good photographer, LOL. The color looks more like a cool light purple in real life

Yup, it's very chunky. Which is the main reason why I hate it, hah. Thank you so much for your help!

I'd sell it to you, but I all ready gave it away earlier today. I hope you find another one soon!

You could always call the MAC Customer Service and tell them the pigment color and batch number and they could at least tell you if that was a real batch...I guess it's too late now though!
