Thats because we've been conditioned by the media that, "Bad words" get censored. So our brains automatically decode the censored word based on what would best fit.
**** you! I could have been Miss you! But, *BEEEEEEP* you is basically code for, "Fuck you." So as soon as we hear *BEEP* you, we automatically uncensor the word in out minds.
In prolly 1/100th's of a second you basically did, "Shit you," Nope. "Screw you," nope, they wouldn't censor that. Etc etc etc. Since "Fuck you" is the best fit, thats what most of us are going to believe.
It also doesn't help that many censors help us out by leaving in the first sylable of the word before applying the censor. So you end up with, "F*** YOU!," where the F is the sound F makes =p
You see that used all the time, especially in hip-hop music. Snoop will be rapping about how your P**** is so wet, and how he's gonna put this d*** on you. It really wasn't hard to tell what he was saying...
