Issues ordering MAC online

So I don't know if this is the right place to put this. I'm still new to the site. I have been ordering most of my MAC online because I live pretty far away from a store. Tonight I placed an order for Perfect Topping, Love Rock, and She Loves Candy. I should have just gotten them when I was at the MAC store last week, and now I'm definitely kicking myself. My issue is that I went through all the steps on the site like usual and it was all fine, until I got the email confirmation. Somehow there were two more different lipglasses added to my order. How does that happen? I haven't been on the site in a long time, and I didn't put those in my basket at all. I'm just wondering what I should do. I contacted them through the customer service online, but it said that it could be a few days before I even get a reply. Should I just call early tomorrow? I've never had an issue with an order before, so I'm just unsure what to do. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to look at this post!

Well you can call them to let them know but if they say its too late to do anything you can either return it when it arrives or sell them on SPecktra. It happens once in a while with MAC........but did they charge you for them because if they didnt then its free l/g for you. HTH

That happened to me the other night when I placed my order.

If recently you have adding anything to your shopping cart when browsing on the site, or while logged in it will save it for you without actually being counted in your cart

I added a couple things to my cart just to see what the prices were and forgotten about it. A couple days later when I went back on it said my cart was empty, so I added all the stuff I planned to purchase, logged in, and went to hit the submit order button and I noticed a bunch of stuff I was checking out a couple days later was added.

Make sure before you place your order and they check your credit card to make sure your order is exactly how you want it. My order went from 150 to 300 in seconds, THANK GOD I bothered to check to make sure.
 
Yeah, they charged me.. that's how I noticed in the email. Free l/g would have been great! But I'm trying to be better about spending money... I'll probably call tomorrow and see what they tell me to do. I'm just frustrated with the new MAC site. At least they weren't the same lipglasses. I'd be a little more upset then, haha. I guess it's probably not a total loss or anything. I don't have them, maybe I'll just give in and keep them..

Their new checkout is super tricky. I don't know why but it seems really easy to order accidentally. I would call and see what they can do. They have pretty good cs and will do the most they can in their power.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure it was my fault. I probably did just put the l/g in there awhile ago and thought they were removed. I thought I checked the order, but I guess not well enough. The costumer service emailed me back today and said that it was getting ready to be shipped out so I could just return it. But.. I think once I see them, it'll be hard to send them back! I think I'll just keep them. I just have to remember to check my order better next time.. and not play with putting items in my cart!

yea, the way things are cached on the new mac site can be very tricky. last time i ordered, there were 2 things i added to the basket from 2 weeks prior that were still in there! but i saw them, took'em out and placed my order. gotta be careful. just give'em a call, they'll straighten it out.

I know what you mean, it's always hard to return mac, even if it was accidentally ordered!

Especially if they are colors you have been looking at for a while!
