Just a little thread to say ...well....ITS SNOWING!!!

I havent seen snow in years - since i was about 7 im 21 now!! Im rather happy! Also Bournemouth (where I live) NEVER has snow, so its a bit of an event.

Anyone have any good snow stories??

Today the radios are playing Christmas songs, Snowdays are being called in and people are falling over humourously!! Even I went flying, haha.

The UK is having fun!!

Yours in happieness

Yeah it'll be sludge by the 12th!

I'm dreading the bloody ice tomorrow morning! Bunking off work today was fun, but it won't be fun trying not to break my neck on the way to the bus stop tomorrow morning!!

It hasn't snowed like this since I was about 6 and I'm 27! Having a snow fight in my back garden earlier bought back a lot of memories.

It did snow here in Miami once, but I wasn't even born at the time. It happened in 1977 (when my dad was in high school!) and it was only a little, didn't cover the ground like that pic, but I'm hoping one day we will get snow. I'm not holding my breath though.

Enjoy it!

Your lucky that it doesn't snow very often where you live and that you actually like it! It snows EVERY year where I live with no fail. I'm just gotten so sick of it and the cold weather.

Wow!

I'm from Bournemouth too, it was crazy! I work on Richmond hill and cars and lorries were sliding down! I haven't even attempted to drive!

You guys should take some snow from Canada because I am sick of it! lol we'll have a warm day and it will start to melt then the next day we'll get 15 cm and we are back to where we started.

I've been in university for 4 years and we have had ONE snow day. That was when the entire city shut down because we had, get this....48 cm of snow OVERNIGHT. We even have a facebook group just for that snowstorm lol

Its still coming and going - apparently we are in for more monday night/tuesday morning. I bloomin' hope not, the novelty value has kind of rubbed off now tbh - I kinda NEED to go to lectures, thanks....

Argh, silly weather - we love it, we hate it...blargh.

i hate snow. Winter is so long and summer is always so short. it seems like every year the winter season is longer and longer.
I hate when you didn't realize is was going to snow overnight and you wake up and your car is covered and it takes forever to clean it off and shovel yourself out of the driveway.. then it take forever to get to the train station.. then the train breaks down because switches are frozen and you're waiting in the cold and you just want to go home and warm up by the fireplace.
Oh yes.. and I especially hate when my little car gets stuck in snow and i have to dig it out.. that is most frustrating!

although when i was driving back from my boyfriends on friday, all the way from brighton up the m23, along the m25, and on the m20 until i reached maidstone it was snowing, that was quite frightening! i stopped at clacket lane services for a wee and i nearly stacked it down the slope into them on the snow that had settled haha. that would have been humilating.. not only would i have fallen arse over tit i probably would have wee'd myself i was that desperate hahaha.

Amen to that. I hate that it always snows the day before I have to drive somewhere. I can't even wait for the snow to melt off my car.

And I hate that winter basically lasts the entire university year. So I have to walk to class and around campus in the snow or -15 degree weather.
