smack me if i'm posting this in the wrong place.

i finally got a job interview!! it's a group interview for the position of beauty advisor at macy's.

i'm stressed. REALLY stressed. because i've never been to an interview before. and i'm sure there will be actual professionals there. i've done photoshoots and stuff but i don't think that makes me as professional as i'm sure some of my competitors will be.

i'll be wearing a black sweater, a pink/black/gray skirt, and black heels. i was thinking maybe a smokey pinkish eye and nude lips with a little hint of pink.

but i'm a little afraid to do the smokey eye thing because i want to stand out, and i'm thinking that mostly everyone's gonna show up in the smokey eyes...but i don't wanna be TOO attention getting you know?

does anyone have any tips on a job interview for something as sebjective as makeup? or any ideas on what i can do with mine to stand out just enough, but not too much?

Macy's group interviews are for everyone who has applied for Macy's. It doesn't really matter what area you are applying for. I just got hired at Macy's for on-call beauty advisor. Some places have different style interviews but mainly they want to see if you are out-going and you can SELL. the key word they are lookin' for is "OUTSTANDING customer service" always talk FIRST and don't seem like your so nervous. if you pass the group interview they will set you up for a one on one interview for your area you applied for. some places make you take a product in the room and sell it in a group. you have to know the exact details for sellin' the product and remember to offer a macy's card. that's what they look for.
