Do you think it would be better (as in getting the best most even colouring) to bleach my hair out and then recondition it and get it back to a decent enough state and then putting the Manic Panic pink stuff in, or would it be better to do the bleaching and the pink in the same day?

I think I am leaning more to the waiting in between, but then I would want to put a neutralizer in my hair so I dont have to walk around for a week or so with yellow hair....plus if I do the bleaching a week or so before that gives me time to correct any mistakes or whatever...(and make sure all the greenish tones are out...haha)

so another question then...for those experienced with coloured dyed (a la manic panic and whatever)...

If I bleahc my hair and then tone it with a blonde hue (either neutral or ash blonde....although i dont have good experiences with ash blonde tones) would the manic panic still penetrate my hair and not wash out in the first like day....? or would the hairdye i use to tone the bleach then seal out the manic panic?

The manic panic I have is the cotton candy pink so I would need my hair to be really really light before I dye it...

going off your avatar, your hair is pretty dark...so bleaching it is definately going to take a toll on your hair. i would suggest bleaching and then doing a deep conditioning treatment and then adding the pink dye.

Manic Panic should still penetrate your hair even with a toner in, but if you're going to put dye in that's darker than the blonde...you don't really need to tone it.

My avatar is kinda old...I had bleached my hair to a dark blonde already and its currently toned/dyed a light brown/dark golden blonde right now...
