Ok, so while I was in the army I developed a latex, hibiclens and betadine allergy (I was a scrub tech, and the over exposure made my body really not happy).
WHY IS IT SO IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE FREAKING HAIR COMPANIES TO JUST SELL NON LATEX GLOVES IN THE HAIR KITS???
I'm not super allergic, I don't go into like anaphalactic shock or anything but I DO itch to all blazes.
Stupid hair companies.
Now my hands itch.
Still.
Even after being washed four times.

I may very well pick up some gloves.
Thing is my 13 year old is insistent upon stealing them because he hates cleaning without gloves.

I'm allergic to latex too. I have a huge box of non-latex gloves that I use for everything! They're rad!

At work, we have latex and vinyl. I always use the vinyl ones because they don't have the powder shit in them.

yup yup.
When I was stationed at stewart, the powdered non latex gloves just ate my skin (the powder got to me too apparently) and they had to order me sensicare non latex non powdered gloves.
Oh.
Mah.
Gaw.
LOVE those gloves.
And they got all pissy when the docs would use them because it was right after 9/11 and they were diverting all 'unnecessary' shipments of that brand to supply for field hospitals in Afghanistan and in other deployed areas, as well as to any NG in NYC so they didn't accidentally kill someone with a latex/powder allergy. So, since I was the only one with a documented reaction to the latex and powder, I was the only one permitted by the hosp. cmdr (full bird) to use the gloves, and he went OFF on a freaking LTC telling him not to use my shit

I hate that as well so i can empathize wiht your son
