Just had first interview... now what?

hey all!! i need a bit of advice cause right now i am freaking out!

i just had my first interview with the MAC counter manager at nordstrom and i can't tell if it went well or not... she described the rest of the interviewing process (demo then the MAC regional rep) and said she would be calling me in the next few days to let me know if i get the second interview

is this typical? i always assumed they would let you know on the spot if you get the next interview... so does that mean i'm outta luck?

also... i am new to the area and have NOBODY to bring in as a model so she said she would prob just have one of the girls at the counter take off her makeup.. so now i have no idea about skin type, complexion or what type of look i will be creating... yikes

They don't let you know on the spot, so don't get sad yet. Also, whether you bring a model or do makeup on an employee, you wont know in advance what look they'll ask to you create.

When I had my interview at MAC for a nordies, they also said that they'd call in a few days, but ended up calling me a few hours after the interview. But don't fret, just wait.

And if you get called back for a demo, they give various scenarios for you. I got a dinner party scenario because I was working on an older woman(another applicant) & the other applicant got dinner with boyfriend's parents for me. They might also make you do a day to night look, a look off a postcard, or face chart. HTH!
