Well, here are my thoughts after trying out my "good deal":
There are three colours: a highlighter, pale pinkish-purple with a pearl finish and slight peachy tones; a violet, slightly on the bluer side with pink pearl reflects; and a deep violet with some wine-ish tones and pink relfects. All three are in the same pan with the highlighter starting in the lower left corner, the mid-shade arching like a rainbow in the middle of the pan over the highlighter, and the darkest shade sitting at the top (I'll try to get a picture loaded). It looks very pretty set up like this. Got my attention, anyway!
After letting Bare Canvas dry a bit on my lids, I applied the highlighter on my inner corner with my 217 brush but wasn't too happy about the colour payoff. I thought it may just be as a lighter colour, but the same thing happened with the mid-toned shade! I tried then to apply with the 239 but got next to nothing on my lids! I swiped at least 3 times each time to pick up product, but next to nothing. Same thing happened with the darkest sahde, but used the 217 in case it actually came out pigmented.
The texture is chalky but not crumbly. I wish it were so I could pick up more product! Swiping my brush across felt like it would over cloth, dry and smooth. Pigmentation is perhaps the residue I'd get after wearing Slip Pink e/s for a whole day (dry but with primer).
The only redeeming quality of this item is the packaging. The shadow set up is cute, the compact has a good weight to it, opens and closes with a soft click and comes with a mirror and three shadow brushes, one of them pointed for lining the eyes.
In short, this palette sucks big time! I'll try to swap this to a someone who wants to cautiously try on colours, but with this experience I'm never trying Lancome again!
