I ordered 4N lipglass but received Languish Lipglass instead, I had a look online but I can't see it, is it now discontinued? Do you think it is worth keeping? Are they similar?

i googled it and apparently it came out with the Sundressing collection. if u like it, u should go head an keep it but if u really wanted the other color I'd tell them of their error HTH!

It's a LE lipglass from the Sundressing collection, I believe, and it was released around spring 2006.

funny how you got that one instead of what you ordered...

Call them about their error and they'll tell you to keep Languish and will send you 4N LG like you ordered. MAC is good about correcting their mistakes.

HTH.

Thanks everyone.

My mum just so happened to be going to a Mac counter today and they told her that is what they send. I assume that they mean they are both exactly the same, I am bit confused.

Not sure whether to give Mac a call or not.

Did anyone else order of the Mac UK website and receive Languish?

You should give MAC a call regardless. You ordered 4n so you should get 4n. So either they can refund the money if they are out of stock (and prob let you keep languish) or they can send what you ordered. You shouldn't have to keep and deal with something you weren't looking for.

Especially since that Languish is prob 2 years old??

I phoned and they said that it is a repromote from 2 years ago and it is exactly the same thing, they were sent out with the wrong label on.

Thanks everyone

thats weird. I think they should send you 4n. I've never heard of sending another lipglass from a previous collection because its "the same color"...
i don't know. how can you send the same exact lipglass with a different label on it....I could understand if for some reason they just put the wrong label on 4n. But not if they had a LE lipglass from a collection 2 years ago.....how could it be the wrong label? they shouldn't have any of those labels lying around, it was 2 years ago!

weird.

Checked the batch number, it's AA7. It looks nice enough but obviously I can't compare it to 4N as I don't have it. I guess I will just keep it if they say it is the same thing.

Really weird though.

that is seriously weird.

i wonder if anyone has both of these and see if we could do a swatch and see if they're really the same?

Its weird but it does make sense with all the repromotes--use the same formula as before, slap a new name on it in a new collection (ie Parrot also released as Kicky Blue).

Just compared with my N lipsticks and they are also AA7 so IMO wherever they made it, they messed up with the labels and you have a "new" product just under the old name. I would trust that its identical as MAC would have a better handle on repromotes and dupes than sometimes we would.

But thats good to know, anyone who loved Languish should get 4N!

Yeh i was sorting out our counters gratis and instead of 4N lipglass we were given Languish. However we never received the stock for 4N lipglass, we didn't even get Languish as a replacement, weird.
