Latest Haul(s)! with pics...

So today I went to The Bay downtown to browse the MAC counter! I originally went in for Prime + Prime and Brush Cleanser...came out with more than just that haha. I stayed away from neutrals today and added a bit of color to my collection. Next visit I'm probably going to get Cranberry, Coppering, and Parfait Amor.
I also paid a visit to the shoppers drug mart downtown, and I discovered that they have a HUGE selection of Benefit and Smashbox stuff! I almost died from excitement, I never knew we had any stores that sold that much from those lines! Definitely gunna be bringing in a few hauls from there soon!

A few weeks ago I brought back my empty pots for B2M, I got two lipsticks and I bought a shadow and a gloss:

L/s in Hug Me and Blankety, Lustreglass in Love Nectar and e/s in Green Smoke

And not too long ago I bought a few things from the store:

Bonnebell pencils for lining the eyes/filling in eyebrows. I'm building my kit! In [left to right] Hot Cocoa, Latte, Glow, Black Ink, and Midnight Bark

Foundation brush from the body shop....not a very big fan of it, but it'll do for now!

I also [finally] got my E.L.F order in the mail a few weeks ago! I LOVE their lipgloss, it's great! It makes my lips soft, tastes great and smells amazing. Definitely grab some if you get the chance. The brow gel works good, but the clear mascara just weighs down my lashes and makes them straight! But hey, it was only a dollar so I'm not complaining. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST:

Kevyn Aucoin's book, Making Faces! It's fairly helpful and I can't wait to try some of the looks in it. I'm going to buy a few more books soon as well.

make sure to get the shoppers card, the points add up so fast (esp on 20x) ... i just went on a 150 bucks on smashbox haul at shoppers

Thanks for the rec, I've heard a lot of raves about it, but what is it about? Does it include anything about face shapes at all? I'm looking for something with that, I need to learn more about it!

Yeah, definitely! I do have a shoppers card, which I'm glad I do because I buy tons of stuff from there. $150!? I'm jealous. I can't wait to go on a Benefit and Smashbox shopping spree

Don't be scared to experiment with color! Just start by adding a little here and there with your neutrals, you'll get used to it. Little pops of color in day time looks are great.

Chapters carries it! They have a few pretty good make up books.

i believe that if you go onto the kevyn aucoin website, you can also get his books there as well. but most if not all major bookstores, such as barnes and nobles or borders or whatever bookstore chains are in canada should also carry the book. as far as the face forward book goes, he did alot of really intriguing makeovers of celebrities into other famous people or celebrities throughout history. and also just interesting things as well. one of my favorite's is when he made tina turner look like cleopatra, and when he made hilary swank look like raquel welch. check it out, you might like it even if it really doesnt have to do with face shapes that much.
