Light/NC15-NC20 Powder Foundation

So, here's the scoop: due to my overspending at MAC, my fiance is allowing me to go on one last huge shopping spree/haul this weekend for all my essentials and a couple of things I "need" (aka: want, yet pretend to need). This is the last time I'll get to buy anything at MAC for AT LEAST a month and a half. I don't know how I'm going to get through it *pouts*

Anywho, I really want to get some new foundation. I use Bare Essentials right now, but I now have a slight grudge against them after a brush mishap. Silly, I know, but I guess I'm a big ol' baby haha. If you're interested in what happened, I'd be more than happy to explain as I am super disappointed about it.

I like the loose powder, but I think I want to try pressed powder. I have dry/combination skin and (like the title says) I'm pretty pale. After looking on the website for about an hour, I finally decided on the Mineralize SPF 15 Loose Foundation. I've heard that MAC's face makeup can cause breakouts and I am prone to breakouts every once in a while so I'm a little worried about that. Although, I do wear the Skinfinish Natural every once in a while, but I feel that I don't get enough coverage with that.

I'm a huge MAC snob so I'd rather stick with MAC, though I was looking at NARS and MUFE foundation. So, based on the "restrictions" I've mentioned, what would you suggest?

P.S. sorry about the small rant. I'm just trying to cover all the bases so that I don't have to go back to the store and then be tempted to buy something. I'm sure most of you can relate to how hard it is to walk out of MAC with only one thing, or worse, nothing

I'm really prone to breakouts and i've never had any problem with any of their liquid or powder foundations. I'm not sure why people even say that. I used to work there and never heard a complain about their stuff breaking anyone out.

Anyway since you're looking for a powder, I'd go with the mineralized skinfinish natural pressed in light or medium plus. It has decent coverage but doesn't look cakey

I don't have any suggestions for new foundations for you. What I do want to suggest is that you get a brush from a company different than BE. Their brushes are a scratchy, horrible mess. No need to give up on a product you like, when the brush is the problem.

The brush came in the starter kit I got, so it's not like I paid for the individual brush, but it still irked me. The brush had been working perfectly fine for about a year. It was a little itchy, but nothing unbearable. I wash my brushes with extra virgin olive oil (it takes off the color AMAZINGLY) and then use baby shampoo. The oil leaves all my brushes feeling extra soft, EXCEPT for the ones from BE. Anyway, lately my powder brush had been feeling extra scratchy, so I washed it really well. The next day, when I was putting on my makeup, my face got so itchy, it was like that for about an hour and I had had enough with trying to make it work. Needless to say, that night I went to MAC and bought a brand-spankin'-new 187.

And about the foundation, I've been wanting to switch for a while, I just decided now is a good time.

I've moved on from the foundation as well, but I stayed with mineral makeup. I now use Meow.

Thank you girls for your responses. Inspiredblue - I decided you were right and I WAS being pretty silly. In the end, I just got the Bare Escentuals powder I always use. But thanks again for your help!
