Lipglass taste?

Has anyone else noticed that the good old vanilla taste is missing from some of their newer lipglasses? Maybe it's just the ones I've bought (I hope so) but my Raquel tasted awful, and now my First Bloom does too. I just put on an old Viva Glam V and it still tastes vanilla to me, so I don't think it's me. Is it just something in certain shades that's overwhelming the vanilla, or is the vanilla out these days?

They have never had a flavor, just the vanilla scent. The only ones that were flavored were the Tastis. If it smells funny though it could have gone bad or be from a bad batch or something :/ If it is still available at your counter I'd suggest taking it back and getting a refund because it could just be the tube!

Okay, I hear what you're saying, then let's say the vanilla scent covered up any obnoxious taste, lol. That's not happening with the ones I mentioned. I thought there was something wrong with my particular tube when it was just Raquel, but now that I'm finding the same thing with First Bloom I don't think so. It could be some pigments or something that were used in both shades, I guess? I just hope it's not an across the board change.

Yeah, the Raquels were a particularly bland batch of LGs. I ran into two seperate duds purchased from two different places.

If they smell waxy then they are spoiled. You'd know because the smell is reallyyyyyy gross. I think that only the plushglass have the strongest vanilla aroma, not so much in the lipglass or lipstick even though they have vanilla in them too

I just smelled my 'First Bloom' lipglass and an older 'Explicit' lipglass that i happen to have on me and they both have the same scent. The explicit smells a little bit different, but i think it's because it's older.

I would definitely take it back and exchange it, or at least see if you can compare it to some other tubes.

Okay, I just went and smelled my First Bloom, and it *smells* just fine - typical vanilla. When I wear them, however, First Bloom and Raquel both start to *taste* awful within about 5 minutes. The only way I can describe the taste is to say it's similar to cilantro. I know many people love cilantro, but unfortunately I am not one of them, lol. Since no one else has mentioned this I'm going to assume there are certain pigments used in certain lipglasses that react with my body chemistry to produce a yucky (to me) taste. I'm just happy that whatever is in these two is not in the majority of the lipglasses I've bought.

My Raquel was weird, so I complained to them & they sent me a new one. BUT THAT ONE SMELLS TOO. :[ I'm stuck with two stinky lipglasses.

I just sent 12 lipglasses that are not empty for B2M because I think they're old or colors that I won't use. Big Kiss Plushglass & Dreamy lipglass looked/smelled particularly suspect.

My lustre and lipglasses smell plasticky after some days of heat... if they are spoiled, are they unhealthy or just stinky?!

I've had several customers say that Plushglasses smell like Play-dough, but I've become de-sensitized to all lipglass smells unless they are specifically pointed out to me.

OMG! I just read your post and went and smelled my brand new Nymphette l/g (about 2 weeks old) and it doesn't have the vanilla smell! I smelled my Courting Rose (has to be 1 yr old) and my Nico (almost 6months old) and they both have the strong vanilla frosting smell. That's so weird I didn't even notice my new one didn't. That sucks

I have never noticed a taste to any of my lipglasses, but maybe that's because I have trained myself to never touch my lips so I don't have to reapply unless I eat or kiss, haha. I've never really went out of my way to smell any lip glasses, but maybe I should. I LOVE the smell of lipstick though, and can't help but smell everytime I apply it on myself. It's just so heavenly, hehe.
