Lipstick bottoms

Now perhaps this is daft but why o why cant Mac put coloured stickers on the bottom...my goldfish brain cant remember every single colour so I end up getting in a fluff taking loads of tops off !!!! Am I the only one that this frustrates?

Mine all have black stickers with the name printed in white...But then again...I'm the kind of girl to own only 4 mac l/s....haha....I pose that if I had many more I'd go mad turning them all upside down or taking the tops of...

i have a suggestion- how about making your own colored labels to stick on the bottom or maybe making small labels (like cutting up the avery labels) and putting the name of the lipstick on the label and then stick it somewhere on the tube where you can see it right away? just a thought!!

that used to be a problem for me...but then I got a storage container at the container store and I store them all upside down. much easier

Just take some colored nail polish and put a little dot of polisj on the bottom of the lipstick tube that is in the same color range as the lipstick. Just a little dot though, so you don't cover up the name of the lipstick.

even better - by the way youre a genius - pop some of the lippy on the bottom and cover with clear nail varnish

I don't know how you have your l/s stored but if are willing to put the effort into it, you can make your own mini l/s swatch/labels. ie. dab a swatch of your l/s onto a small piece of paper (you can buy white dot stickers) and then just tap over it with clear tape, this will make sure you don't smudge l/s all over the place. You can place these swatches on your traincase, storage box or even on the side of your l/s itself just somewhere visible where you can see it clearly and easily.

Why not remove the little sticker with the name on it from the box and put it on top?
SIL and I split piggies all the time and instead of making my own labels I peel the sticker straight from the box and stick it to the bottom of the container. HTH

I think doing the swatches is a great idea, that I will probably do. Also, I use this box, to store my lipsticks. It holds 50!
