Lipstick Color Shade Recommendation

Hi there,

I want to use purples on my eyes, but I am not sure what shade family of lipstick and/or gloss to use with them. Here is a photo of my coloring:

As you can see, tan skin, dark brown hair, brown eyes. The color I want to use on my eyes is a lavender color...what sort of lip color families would you recommend?

Try lighter, more neutral colors, like neutral pinks and sheer nudes. MAC Viva Glam V lipstick would probably be a good choice.

I like light pale pinks with purple looks, like Angel or Snob with Underage l/g.

My all time favorite neutral-ish lip for purples is Dolce Vita, either in gloss or lipstick form (although the gloss seems slightly more pigmented than the lipstick). Looks lovely on everyone I've seen wear it, and it won't compete with your eyeshadow.

For purples, I tend to like pinks and nudes. Two that I recommend on their own: Lovelorn and Creme D'Nude. But what I really recommend is to mix them! I apply Lovelorn first, then Creme D'Nude over top, and I get a great pale pink lip!
