Liquidlast application

So I finally got a liquidlast, but I'm having trouble with application. I'm usually really good with liquid liners, but this less "liquid" than its name would imply. Mine's really thick and sticky and it's hard to create a smooth line, with the brush or with my own.

Do I just have a bad batch?
Any tips?

no the liquidlast i had was very thick and didn't come off very easily at all!! it's good for going out at night because you don't have to reapply but i didnt like it for everyday wear.

Those have been the issues with the Liquidlasts - they dry very quickly (making it clumpy and difficult to line), the brush doesn't help, and it's tough to wash off. If you do a search there are suggestions for which brush others have used and other tips. I use the 266, but that's my only lining brush. Sometimes I use the 316 because I don't use it on my lips anyways. I also keep my eye closed so I hit fewer lashes. As for washing off, use an oil-based remover. Some have used baby oil or cocoa butter, iirc, before using a regular cleanser. HTH!

They are a little thicker as opposed to watery. I love Liquidlast liners. The key is to make sure you start with a little product on the brush and then add on as you go. Especially since it's a new thing for you to use it just practice. Once you get the hang of it the brush is really easy to use.

i had the same question too. i have the a few but have a hard time putting em on. ive have used baby oil gel to help remove them! then use a regular makeup/eye makeup remover.

I just got aqualine fomr the LLL collection and I love it! I use the inside of the tube and wipe my brush of any clumps and then put a small amount on and add to it.

If not, I know this is wasteful but you can always use a napkin and have a little glob you can dip the brush into and apply it that way. HTH!

I just got the Shu Uemura liquid liner. I tell ya, it may only come in black, but it puts liquidlast to shame. I loooove it. It's so precise!

I love the colors of LLL but I find the brush isn't that great! Its too bad they didnt put a felt tip on it like the usual liquid liners!

I've found the easiest way to use it is to first drag the brush on the side of the container to remove excess product, then use a piece of toilet paper or powder free blot paper (because it won't leave residue) to wipe one side of the brush. Then line the eyes using the side of the brush that still has product.

The problem for applying LLL for me has been the goopyness of the the liquid and I found that if you remove enough of it you can get a great line.

I love liquidlasts but hate the dingy brush...and I don't know if it's just me, but the stuff dries up/clumps really quickly =(

I find that the best way is to not use the brush included and just use a fine eyeliner brush like 209...or even an angled liner brush works (266) if you're not looking to apply a super thin line

I had very bad experience with my first Liquidlast. The rather thick liquid just made it difficult to run a smooth line and went over my lashes. I ended up giving it up.
But when I gave the liquidlast a second try lately, I found the lining job much easier. I guess that I lined section by section instead of doing it in one go is the trick. I am getting more tubes, they are just perfect for the humid summer !
