little red/purple dots

a couple months ago, i had an allergic reaction to some medication and it gave me these really ugly red/purple bumps on my face around the jawline. i went back to the doctor and he gave me some hardcore antibiotics and some topical gel and the bumps are gone, but some of the discolouration is still there.

since it's summer now, i'm starting to get my tan back...will a tan eliminate the discolouration, or make it even more noticeable?

I have a couple left over pigmentation from previous breakouts and being in the sun makes them worse - so I'd say it might make them darker in the long run :/
