Hey everyone! I was trying to find some more pics of the new Fafi collection and i found this lot. Ummmm am i reading this right? And why are people bidding on it? It says you don't get what's in the picture and its just to elt you know the prices of the Fafi collection... Is this a scam?? I mean, the prices are already posted up so what are you really bidding on? I guess your buying the "compare and save info"? I guess people may bid like crazy thinking its a lot for the whole collection and then all they do is send you a list of the prices so you don't get "ripped off"? Ummm aren't they the ones really ripping you off!!??? Ugggh i always find crazy stuff on eBay!

It's like one of the Ebay scams I read about where the auction says in fine print at the bottom that you are only bidding on a PHOTO of the item, which will be mailed to you! Crazy.

After reading the listing, I'm under the impression the person who posted this "auction" did it as a way to inform the general ebay population whether or not they're getting raped for items they're bidding on from the new collection.... not that they're actually selling anything. The seller says they're "selling" the information, but it's all listed there to read.

Just like if one of us posted a picture of all the Barbie stuff that keeps getting faked and said we were selling the information on how to spot a fake for 99 cents and then posted detailed pictures and original prices of the items.

That's just my feeling on it anyway....

If people really wanted to pay for this info (which is available here or will be on maccosmetics.com), the idiot seller shouldn't have listed all the info anyways! I can't believe people bid on that!!! So if you win it, does the seller send you a copy & paste version of the auction??

Agree with Gatsby. I still think the seller's whole point of posting an "auction" was that people would click on it and get real info on the collection and what it's fair market value is... quote, "If you have no way of getting Fafi MAC cosmetics near you, big away. Just know the original prices of the items before you bid 4 times it's real value!"

I think the "smoke-filled, pet invested (sic) environment" was added as a joke.

IMO, the whole point was to attract those who might be uneducated about the products to read the listing and know the real prices before they go out and pay $40 for a lipstick just because someone says it's "RARE, HTF!!!!" in another auction.

The whole point of this listing may be a joke (based on the mentioning of pets and smoke), but it's obviously misleading, as people have bid.

If their intent is to provide a "service" of telling the general public what the collection costs, then that too is misleading, as who bids on that?

Why would any of it cost $5 to ship?

I didn't get to see it but it sound funny, a bit like when people bid for the xbox 360 BOX and it clearly stated it was only the box but peopl sitll bid lol.

Some people don't read the auctions...they just look at the picture and enter a bid. Glad it got pulled.
