I haven't actually used MAC products yet but I'm very excited too! I was wondering if anyone had any recemmedations of certian MAC products, colors, and/or techniques that would work for me. It would be great to get someone elses fresh opinion cause I know I just keep over-thinking everything! lol
Here is alittle info about me -

-Light Medium skin tone NC
-Grey eyes, kinda far set and almond shaped
-Light brown hair but I dye it a bright reddish color with black underneath
-I have pretty normal skin but it does get alittle dry in the winter

My style -

-I'm kinda punk/rock and some say emo but not too severe
-I love being daring with colors
-Sometimes I just like to go pretty dark though
-I love looking like a rockstar! lol

Thanks for your time!

Well, Carbon eyeshadow is a must. It's the most "black" of the black eyeshadows, and it works well with almost anything for a smoky look. For a highlight color, some good ones are Vanilla, Ricepaper, and Mylar. If you like deep purples, Trax and Nocturnelle are excellent choices. And Blacktrack fluidline!

I agree with Carbon - it's a must. As is Shroom, IMHO. Wonderful shimmered beige that is a great highlighter or combined with other shades.

Carbon + Feline Kohl Power eye pencil = sexy rocker eyes!

Viva Glam V lipstick and/or lipglass are fabulous and look great on nearly anyone.

MAC's 187 and 217 brushes are musts, in my view.

Get yourself a paint or paint pot in a soft neutral tone that matches your skintone to use as a shadow base. Try Paint in Bare Canvas or Untitled, or Paint Pot in Painterly or Bare Study.

If you are into red lips, MAC makes some amazing shades.
