I'm really surprised, because ASPCA, humane society, red cross, they all offer "how to handle an emergency situation, natural disaster, or evacuation with your pet" classes. Why bother if they aren't going to let you bring them anyhow?

I was watching the news earlier, and all I can do is cry...
I used to live down there and hold it very close to my heart. Its so sad seeing people suffering like they are, seeing New Orleans in the state its in. The fact that people are dying on the streets and are being told to just move the body so it doesnt smell so bad...
sigh...we dump food to africa, and iraq, and places like that by airplane...but our own country suffers horribly

Most of my family live just west of Jefferson Parish, roughly 30 miles north of the coast, thankfully all of them evacuated. They had some damage to homes & property and no electricity, but it could be worse. They may have some flooding here and there...Idk.
