MAC 266 Question:

I have a MAC 266 with lettering towards the middle of the of the brush, instead of being closer to the metal part, and labeled as 'France'. It's also a bit dull compared to my other brushes. Does anyone else have one like this? Also, the lettering is engraved, instead of being painted on. The handle is also a bit glittery... I can't seem to find any pictures that resemble this. Does anyone have any photos? I'm wondering if this is just an older version or if it's fake. Please help!! Thanks.

I think the old brushes were printed like that - but then again I'm horrible at distinguishing fakes so I could be wrong

I swapped for it. The swapper says she bought it at a MAC counter, but says it's been a while... so I was hoping that this is just the older version.

Based just on the picture I would say it is NOT fake, it is just an old brush. This is how they all used to look, and it *exactly* how my 266 looks.

I don't mean to be harsh but please do your research ... the older style printing on MAC brushes is quite well-known.

^^ agreed, all of my brushes i either bought from my store or recieved in my EMS gratis, i have two with the engraved "france" on them and two with "japan", they are in fact real. as for my brush belt at work, i do have some older brushes in it that have the bigger lettering stamped in the middle of the brush. your brush is fine, its not a fake, rest easy!

mine isn't the 266, but my very first brush, the 213, looks this way. yours isn't fake, its just old.
