So I headed out with a mission to obtain two critical items. "Critical" having the meaning of "I really wanted them" in this instance. I was out stalking NARS Sephora Flame LS and Sephora's Metro Chic nailpolish.
Strike one: Sephora Flame was too brown for this chick. Strike two: They were out of Metro Chic. [Dwight Schrute] Question [/Dwight Schrute]: Does Metro Chic actually exist in anything other than tester form? Is it an urban myth? Seriously...who do I have to sleep with to get a bottle of Metro Chic? I'm gettin' desperate and willing to do dirty things.
So being that I couldn't pick up those, I decided to haul on this:
+ Run with It! OPI/Sephora polish: A pretty dove gray and most importantly, big 3 free.
+ Top Coat OPI/Sephora polish: I needed this as I had a brain lapse last week and painted a top coat on my nails with Seche Vite (which has one or two of the big 3) and I had an allergic reaction.
+ Smashbox Primer: One of the 6 or 7 primer brands I keep on hand.
+ UD Deluxe shadow in Honey : I love this colour. I have the UD eyeliner pencil in Honey too. Very metallic.
+ NARS Matte Lipstick Pencil in Dammed:If you loved the CoC, you should check out this lipstick. It is a rich magenta. Deeply pigmented and not dry. Perfect for fall and winter.
+ NARS Lipglass in Female Trouble: Stoney-toned dark pink/rose colour. I have really started falling for NARS glosses. They have nice coverage and are really moisturizing, which brings me to....My one issue with them is that the most prevalent ingredient is lanolin oil, so they are slightly redolent of a wool sweater. lol Next on my list: NARS gloss in Bloodwork.
+ Calvin Klein LG in Radar: I walked past the Tarte display and started swatching the mini lipglasses in their holiday set and only one stood out. I ALMOST bought the kit for that one damn gloss lol, then I came to my senses. I then walked right over to the Calvin Klein display and found an almost spot on dupe for that Tarte mini gloss in CK Radar. It's a pretty peachy, nude colour with pink/red pearl to it. HOT.
+ MAC Holiday palette in Classic Eyes: It's the only one that caught my eye. I think it's because of the diversity in the colours. The green and blue are effin' gorgeous. The rest of the colours are perfect staples, as well. I didn't expect to like the peachy matte colour, but it made me love it.
The palettes feel too light. Kinda cheapy. I didn't realize that they were all slightly diff colours.
+ Adoring Carmine Lip Bag: Red: The neutral lips colours were non-existent on my hand. The Rose Lips were pretty, but been there, done that. Nothing wowed me. The Red Lips colours are so pretty. Racy is hot. It's a nice frost formula that is lighter than Neo Sci Fidelity and darker than Port Red, so a nice new colour.
I figured the Frostlight LG that comes with the red lips would be similar to Lustrewhite, but it's not quite that sparkly (it's more of a sheer frost, actually) and it has a slight gold glow to it.
+ Anastasia Brow Tint Pen: Anastasia has never let me down and Jamie's blog review had me lemming, so I had to give it a shot. LOVE IT. AMAZING!
+ MAC Fresco Rose Paint Pot: I've been meaning to pick this up. Might be nice as a blush too.
Soooo...that's what happens when I go shopping for two items. I end up not getting them and picking up a bevy of other cosmetic crack rocks.
