MAC brush roll and cleaning

I apologize if this has been asked and answered before. I tried to do a search for the answer but got a little impatient sifting through the threads.
Since the MAC classic brush roll is made of nylon and wool, is it a pain to clean? I currently have the Bare Escentuals extra large expandable case and while it is easier to clean, it doesn't hold longer brushes.

Also, those of you who have tried the MAC brush roll, any pros or cons you care to discuss? If there is a better product available, please let me know!

In my opinion it is not such a great brush roll . I had gotten my sephora brush roll (the large one) before I got my mac brush roll. When I started to use my mac roll it got stain and it actually does not fit as many brushes .So i guess if you are looking for a good brush roll the sephora one cleans up better and hold more items.

Thanks for the reply. I vaguely remember the brush roll from Sephora. It's no longer available on the website and unfortunately I just moved away from the Atlanta stores. I do remember liking it when I saw it... don't know why I didn't get it..

I have two brush rolls from MAC and they don't hold that much. I have lots of big face brushes and only a few fit in. I use them mostly for my smaller face and eye brushes.

It's not my favourite roll, that's for sure.

I'm sure you can easily wipe it down, it's plastic as you mentioned...
