MAC Chat no longer available on the MAC website?

Forgive me if this has already been discussed somewhere, but I just noticed the live Mac Chat feature is not on the website. Is this gone permanently?

I went to the site and clicked on customer service, and it's still on there, or at least it appears to be.

i just used it today for the first time ever, and it was working and the MA was super helpful, so i don't think it's going. maybe the link was just moved?

Wow that thread got me angry. It will be a real disappointment if they removed the chat because of people like this. Or maybe people were abusing the chat for free shipping codes?

Hey ladies!
I just used the MAC chat feature and the link has been moved, but I asked the MA I spoke with if they were going to continue and she said they were here to stay!! She was really great and really helped me out. Just thought you would like to know so keep on chattin'!

I used it today and all I did was click customer service at the bottom. The woman was so helpful.

And that thread called "Do you think she was rude?" just made me go wtf?

Right, huh? That post was actually one of the first I read on this site and it blew my mind! I would never act like that on the chat, especially since the MA's have never been anything than great to me. It was almost like she was TRYING to get a reaction. But, then again, you can't really tell a person's tone from a text or online chat.

I've used it about 3 times total and have had great experiences each time.

Yep, it seems to be gone for real now. I guess all we can hope is that they just took it down for Friends & Family because they thought they'd be overwhelmed?
