MAC Couture Mailer

I just received the MAC Couture mailer! It is a tri-fold cover, (looks the like the casing to the Mystery Powders), that opens up to a postcard. The postcard just pictures the products, no model. Very cool though. Sorry, I can't post pics right now. Anyone else who can do this for everyone?

It mentions that it premiers exclusively at MAC Stores on Nov 30th. So I gather that means no website availability? Hmmm.

It also gives a link to preview it: www.maccosmetics.com/couture2006 but I couldn't get it to work for me. Signed in or not. It just takes me to the main page of the MAC site. Perhaps it will start working shortly. Cross your fingers.

Exactly what I was thinking!!! I was holding off to get the Kabuki brush until this came out, but a few weeks ago, I decided not to bother getting the couture brush because I figured the groves in between the jewels would get so dirty with powder. Now that I see it, I'm so glad I bought the regular version and that I didn't get the couture brush, cuz the handle is square and UGLY!!! It's weird how the handle extends past the part where they bristles attach to the brush.

I'll admit that the shape of the lipsticks and lipglasses are throwing me off a bit, but I am seriously excited for the Mystery Powder and Metal Highlighters. The Kabuki..meh...I think it is kind of quirky and cute, albeit not so much ergonomic, but I have about 8 kabuki brushes already. Do I need nine? Probably not. Yeah, probably don't need 8 either!

From what I have heard, it is for your brushes or doubles as a clutch. Or..... if you are the leader of a nuclear country, you can carry around your launch codes in it.

Ewwww...Bad joke, I know.

Unless I see unbelievable, fabulous reviews for the lip products I'm passing on this whole collection. I won't be able to see it in person anyway since I don't have a MAC store very close to me. I'm also not a fan of the packaging.

I think the packaging is interesting. I like it, but like a poster above me said, unless theres rave reviews on something, i'll probably pass up on it.

And i agree bout the boxy-handled kabuki thing. I use mine every day- I'm not sure I would want a boxy handled one especially one that look like that. haha
