Hello EVERYONE, I'm new to SPECKTRA. I had my Demo TODAY, and here's how it went. My model and I arrived 10 minutes before the demo only to see that the location was temporarily closed and that the new location is at the other end of the mall. So as fast as i could in my little pumps, i hauled ass to the end where the new location is. I arrived 2-3 minutes late, BIG no no. My trainer informed me that I was late. I almost cried, but explained that I wasn't aware of the new location. She told me that she normally wouldn't do this, but she went ahead with the demo. You could only imagine my nerves at that point~~~ so my model and I are in the back of the store. The trainer, who was still plesant even though I was late, which I am greatly appreciate. explained the process of the demo, considering this was my 3rd demo, she knew I was a bit familiar. She shows me my look, I go out and get the products I need. I start on her face, during the time that I'm working on her face, I remember that I am to TALK the whole entire time, which I did. I explained everything that I was doing, why I was doing it, and utilized the mirror during the demo. The end result, she asked me to critque my work, I gave her my feedback, but my trainer had not one negative thing to say about it. She thought I did a great job. Only thing she critiqued was my eyebrows, MAC no longer does the SUPER scultped brow, so she told me to break that habit because my brows were too perfect. And she told me to get out of the habit of the Studio Fix Fluid foundation, the natural look is what's in. I took in all feedback. She asked me the locations I'd like to work, and asked me if I'd like Part Time of Freelance, I said both, because I want to get my feet wet and progress with MAC onto other things. Sooooo....moral of the story, she loved my work, she loved that I talked the entire time and that she would absolutely put me down as a 'freelancer'....my only worry...that I was LATE...any MAC mammas/pappis???? Can any you please let me know if that HURTS my chances? I decided that since I was late, that I needed to blow that demo out of the water, which I feel like I did, but it would really suck that after the few times I've tried to become a MAC artist, that the ONE time that I do great, I don't get it, because I was late. Any and all feedback is GREATLY appreciated.
