MAC EMPLOYEE SALE and supplier "out west"

I asked someone a question on eBay about where they got their MAC and she started emailing me through my regular email with these shady updates about ordering from her "supplier out west" and now I got this one saying she is going to a 3 -Day "Employee Sale". She is a U.S. seller so it is not the Warehouse sale in Canada she's talking about I don't think. Plus, you get your stuff right there at that, right? She says it will take a long time for her "order" to get here. I would never buy anything from her but I wanted to know what you guys thought about this? Is there such a sale?

I NEVER KNOW WHAT THEY MAY HAVE... SOME ITEMS ARE ONLY 50% OFF RETAIL, BUT FOR MOST PART, ITS WELL WORTH GOING!! ITEMS WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL APPROXIMATELY DEC 15-18TH SO MOST WILL NOT BE HERE TO LIST FOR CHRISTMAS SALES.. SORRY!

Previously (through eBay) I had asked her simply where she got her MAC. She emailed me back with this response:

and i will be going to MAC employee sale soon too
but this order is from the last show lol

^Oh and I forgot to add that in my first email to her back in Oct, I asked for more pictures of a shadow and she (of course) didn't have her camera since her friend was "borrowing" it. And she still hasn't sent me pics!

I can tell you that the prices she is quoting are cheaper than those items even sell for at the Canadian warehouse sale so she can't mean that. I wish the sale was that cheap!
Unless someone gets their stock from MAC, the Canadian warehouse sale or the Long Island warehouse sale I would steer clear!! Anytime someone says "supplier" the red flag go up.

^Exactly! Those prices are ridiculous! No CCO or F&F sale is even that cheap. And with her "lead time" it sounds to me like just enough time to get a shipment from overseas! I just wanted to get some more imput. I kind of want to call her out but it's not even worth it. Actually, her prices on eBay are not even cheap if the items were real LOL

Yeah, that is a scam. The "Supplier" is not in CA lol! I agree that the prices are too cheap as well. The problem is that people totally believe her and buy stuff from her. What can you do about it, you know?

absolute scam! plus the fact she has never sent you any pictures - that's very convinent that her friend is borrowing her camera. don't order anything hun because i think it'll be fake.

at the end of the day ladies and guys on here post when there are warehouse sales and there isn't any right now

I actually received an email with a pic of an eyeshadow, I am not sure if she's telling the truth about the employee sale or if all her items are authentic but I did buy from her twice and they were authentic, Here is the pic she sent in an email:

I have never in my life sold Fake MAC, and I realize that is not the issue here, but wanted to make that clear!! I am not sure what to say, the girl who started this, she came to me and wanted to know who my supplier is to cut out the middle man. If all of us as sellers would pass on our own suppliers, not one of us would profit... therefore, I was vague and she asked me for a lot more information than is stated here. I am not out to say negative about anyone, so will just say that ... yes, what she said is true, the offers I sent her that she posted, are legit and are definitely from me!! I deal with a handful of suppliers ONLY to guarantee that I ONLY get authentic items!! I cant always offer such low pricing, but sometimes I get some killer deals! So, it depends on the day.

I was sent this blog by almost half dozen of my buyers who were upset, I left it go, but felt that I would tell my side of this, as I honestly have nothing to hide. I am not a scam artist, I have been burnt many times in the last few years as I tried to build my business, therefore, I would not do this to others! I will gladly answer any questions & would hope that those of you as sellers, can understand... my mark up is so minimal for wholesale so that my buyers can also turn a profit!

The young gal who started this, she is right about what she says, she just did not put all the questions she asked that provoked the response. Also, she was a buyer, therefore, she started getting offers from me. So it wasnt that I was trying to ignore her questions... I was simply adding her to my wholesale list as she did not decline it. I am sorry it has offended you and will gladly make sure that my assistant removes it within the week. I thought I had explained the rhyme and reason to you, although perhaps I was unclear and came across as rude? If so, I am sorry! I do not know how else to make you understand my reasons for not releasing my supplier, etc.

The MAC sale prices are equivilant to Ebay, but I am always willing to pick up hard to find items for my loyal buyers and friends, so I always send an email asking if anyone wants anything before I go!! Most of the items would not be good for resale anyhow as the cost is high as stated previously in this blog!!

As for my camera, that too was honest. I have employees, one of which I pay to list online sales. Since she does this, she has my camera. I could never keep up with the volume of sales plus online & home sales myself, therefore its a team effort!! I honestlly did NOT have my camera when asked for pictures, although I had a picture of the top of box, bottom of item etc. to show authenticity. Also, the gal had purchased from me & stated items were authentic! I did not mean for this to be a huge issue and am sorry that I was not able to answer sufficiently to keep this among us... although I hope this helps and will gladly remove you from wholesale listings, you can send a request if you would like to be removed before we get to it ourselves!!
